Höstmörkret

Hej allihopa!

Nu har höstmörkret kommit hit men vi gör en massa skoj på Hippos för att lysa upp tillvaron. Vårt jorden-runt-tema har precis tagit slut och det uppskattades av barnen på olika sätt. För det första hade vi en variation i vårt presentationssätt av de olika världsdelarna. Vi använde film, bilder och berättelser. En annan sak som uppskattades var att alla barnen någon gång kunde känna igen sig och kom med egna berättelser om saker de kände igen. Om allt från djur till ställen de besökt.

Efter Jorden-runt-temat har vi haft ett kort allahelgonatema och ett kort Halloweentema. Vi har visat barnen en presentation om de både och berättat om deras ursprung. Sen har det varit lite småpyssel med spöken m.m. och det har målats runt hundra Halloweenbilder med allt från pumpor till häxor.

Nu när Halloween och alla helgons dag har varit kommer tiden att springa iväg fram till jul..misstänker vi. ;-)

Idag, måndag, kommer två universitetsstudenter till oss som läser till fritidspedagoger. De kommer att vara med på Hippos på eftermiddagarna i fem veckor så nästa alla föräldrar bör träffa dem någon gång när ni hämtar era barn. Studenterna heter Raymond och Karolin. Det kommer dra igång julpyssel och julklappsskapande snart och vi får en mysig stund tillsammans med tända ljus i mörkret.

Hello everyone!

Now the dark days of autumn have come to us but we do a lot of fun at Hippos to illuminate life. Our around-the-world-theme is done and it was appreciated by the children in different ways. Firstly, we had a variation in our presentation of the different continents. We used movies, pictures and stories. Another thing that was appreciated was that all children at some point could recognize themselves and come with their own stories about things they knew. About everything from animals to places they visited.

After around-the-world-theme, we have had a short all Saints' day theme and a short Halloween theme. We have shown the children a presentation of both themes. Then there has been a little craft making with ghosts, etc. and it has been painted around one hundred Halloween Pictures with everything from pumpkins to witches.

Now after Halloween and All Saints' Day the time will run fast until Christmas .. we suspect. ;-)

Today, Monday, two university students have come to us, they are reading to become "PAL"-teachers. They will be on Hippos in the afternoons for five weeks, nearly all parents will meet with them at some point when you pick up your child. The students name are Raymond and Caroline. It will soon be a lot of Christmas crafts and gift making and we will get a nice moment with lighted candles in the darkness.

Hej allihopa!

Det är nu oktober månad och vi har haft det otroligt varmt de första dagarna av månaden. Iaf varmt för att vara oktober. :-) Denna veckan har vi börjat baka för att ha fika att bjuda på när det är dags för "drop in fika" den 21 oktober. Hoppas detta datum passar för många. Mer info kommer upp på lapp på vår anslagstavla och hem på mail inom de närmaste dagarna.

Vi började denna termin med ett litet uppstart-tema och lära-känna-varandra-tema. Alla barnen fick göra en varsin födelsedagsram. Alla nya barn fick dessutom dekorera sina portfolier som kommer att följa den tills de gått ut tredje klass och kommer att sluta på Hippos. Här i samlar vi bilder och annat som vi visar upp på utvecklingssamtal varje vår.

Nästa tema som vi snart är färdiga med är ett Jorden-runt-tema. Vi har samlingar och pratar om olika världsdelar (en världsdel varje samling), visar bilder och filmklipp från saker i världsdelen som är extra "speciella" för den världsdelen eller extra uppmärksammade. Nästa tema vi kommer att dra igång vecka 41 är All-helgona-tema och Halloween-tema. För att både uppmärksamma en svensk och en internationell högtid.

Det pågår även massor av olika pyssel, det har varit väldigt populärt att göra magnethalsband/armband alla de slag. Här under ser ni en bild från en samling, två bilder när elever sitter och pysslar, en äppelpaj och bilder från vår nya super mario värld.

Hello everyone!

It is now October and we have had hot weather the first day of the month. Anyways hot to be October. :-) This week we started baking for having fika to serve when it's time for "drop in coffee" on October 21. We hope this date is suitable for many. More info coming up on as a note on our message board and home in a mail within the next few days.

We started this term with a small start-up theme and get-to-know-each-theme. All the children had to do a birthdaypicture. All new children also got to decorate their portfolios that will follow them until they passed the third grade and will end at Hippos. In the portfolios, we collect pictures and other things that we show up on developmenttalks every spring.

The next theme that we will soon be finished with is an around-the-world-theme. We have gatherings and talk about different parts of the world (a continent each collection), shows pictures and videos of things on the continent that is extra "special" for the continent or the extra attention. The next theme we will start week 41 is an All-helgona-theme and Halloween-theme. To draw attention to both a Swedish and an international tradition.

There is also lots of different crafts, it has been very popular to make magnetic necklaces / bracelets of all kinds. Below you see a picture from a gathering, two pictures when students are sitting with necklaces. Applepie and pictures from our new super mario world.
